Specialty packaging solutions provider DISC has once again earned a place on the “Best Workplace in the Americas” list from the Printing Industries of America (PIA). It is the 10th time the company has been selected since PIA established this program in 2000 to acknowledge “exemplary human resources practices” in the industry. DISC has also made the program’s “Best of the Best” list four times.
 
The Printing Industries of America is the world’s largest graphic arts trade association. Each year, it opens competition to printing and packaging member companies who demonstrate that they care about their employees’ work environment and can balance their personal goals and ambitions with those of the company. A panel of HR professionals reviews the submissions. Evaluations are based on eight criteria: management practices; work environment; training and development opportunities; financial security; workplace health and safety; work-life balance; recognition and rewards; and health and wellness programs.
